WHY YOU NEED THIS HITCH

I am the owner of a small one truck towing company, DB Towing LLC, and have been for the past 20 years. A problem that I have encountered numerous times was attaching trucks and SUV’s to the wheel lift especially duallies and vehicles with rear suspension and wheel damage. Chain slinging or short chaining the rear end while lying on the ground was the only option. This is what led me to develop the Bakpul Hitch.

By using the receiver, which is tied directly to the chassis for the tow point, we have resolved this issue and more. I have found this hitch to be the simplest, quickest and most of all, safest way to tow any vehicle that has a receiver hitch. From a safety standpoint, you connect the Bakpul Hitch which is tied directly to the chassis and can safely get under the towed vehicle, if necessary, to connect the towing and safety chains. Keeping your wheel lift retracted also is better weight transfer for your truck keeping your steering tires more firmly planted. Once the pins are in the hitch, there is not a safer or more worry-free way to tow a vehicle from the rear.

Other benefits I have found using the Bakpul Hitch are less wear and tear on your truck because the wheel lift is not as extended as before, which is less leverage and force on your rams, suspension, tires, etc. Another advantage of keeping the wheel lift retracted is you can now lift a heavier load such as box trucks, delivery vans and trucks with work beds since the full load of the tow is not on the tow truck. The only limit is not to exceed your wheel lift and bed lock ratings. The tow truck ride is also greatly improved because there is no more suspension bounce and rebound of the towed vehicle, it’s just like pulling a trailer. This hitch is also height adjustable, allowing you to lift a vehicle, no matter what size wheels and tires they have, such as trucks and SUVs with lift kits and super large tires. The hitch towing point being moved further to the rear also gives you ample clearance between the bed deck and the rear vehicle (overhang) which means your turning radius is greatly improved and no more dented tailgates or broken taillights when making sharp turns.
